How these numbers are made

Source: City of Aurora OpenData MapServer layer 44 (Building Permits), read 19 Oct 2026. We count permits issued October 2024 through September 2026; denied and withdrawn permits are left out. The file carries no usable permit status, so it can't say which permits were finished, so no finished share is shown.

Building permits the City of Aurora Building Division issued inside the city (parts of Arapahoe, Adams and Douglas counties). Plan reviews, master plans, right-of-way permits and tree mitigation in the same feed are not counted. Unincorporated Arapahoe and Adams County and the neighbouring cities issue their own permits.

  • The city's file names no contractor, so there are no contractor lists, rankings or firm pages for Aurora.
  • The file has no status and no final date, so we cannot show which permits finished or how long they took.
  • The file has no ZIP code, so there are no ZIP code pages.
  • Job value is the valuation declared on the permit.

Counts are permits, not jobs: one job can need several permits. Nobody paid to be on this page and nobody can. Sources and definitions →
