How to look up the permits on an Irving address
- For a permit from 2025 on, sign in to MGO Connect if you are the applicant, or call Inspections at (972) 721-2371 with the address.
- For permits issued before March 2025, open the City's Open Data Portal and search for "Residential Permits Issued".
- Filter the Address field by your house number and street name, and read Permit Type and Project Description. Plumbing, mechanical, electrical and photovoltaic permits are separate rows from February 15, 2022 on.
- Note the permit numbers, then ask Inspections whether each one passed final inspection.
What the statuses mean here
The residential tables, which hold most permits, have no status and no final date. Only the commercial table has them. In that table's 6,679 permits (February 2022 to February 2025):

For a house, the inspection results in MGO Connect, or a call to Inspections, are the only public way to see whether a permit was finaled.
When the record is not online
The City Secretary's Office takes open records requests through its online Open Records Request Form, and suggests checking the City's Open Data Portal first. You can also call (972) 721-2493 or visit City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd., 4th Floor, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Open Records page, read 24 October 2026). Ask for permits by address and year range.

Roofing permits fell 56% between the two years of the window (March 2023–February 2024 against March 2024–February 2025). ZIP 75062 had the most permits, 3,713. What this does not tell you
The City's tables name no contractor, so we have no firm lists for Irving. They stop at February 28, 2025, so our pages end there. With no status on residential permits we show no finished share or time to final. Every permit in the residential table counts as a home and every permit in the commercial table as other property, and the value is the valuation declared on the permit, often only the trade work.
How we know this
The portal description and Inspections number are from the City of Irving's Online Permit & Instructions page, and the records route from the City Secretary's Open Records page, both read 24 October 2026. Our counts and the commercial status counts are the City's Residential and Commercial Permits Issued tables on its ArcGIS Online, read 23 October 2026; the counts cover permits issued March 2023 to February 2025.
Numbers come from public permit records in 57 cities, data through October 23, 2026. Nobody paid to be on this page and nobody can.

- How do I find out if a permit was pulled on my house in Irving?
Irving runs permits through My Government Online (MGO Connect), where the City says you can apply, pay, schedule inspections and view inspection results. For a list by address, the City's open data Residential Permits Issued table covers January 2018 to February 2025. For anything else, call Inspections at (972) 721-2371.
- Can I look up Irving permits by contractor?
Not from the City's public tables: none of them names a contractor or applicant. Ask Inspections, or file an open records request naming the address and years.
- Why do Irving's open data permit tables stop in February 2025?
The City's residential and commercial issued-permit tables have not been updated past February 28, 2025. Newer permits are in MGO Connect, not in the open data tables.
- How many building permits did Irving issue?
About 7,300 a year: 14,557 permits from March 2023 to February 2025 in the City's residential and commercial tables. Plumbing led with 3,275, then roofing with 1,808.
- How do I get Irving permit records that are not online?
Submit an open records request through the City's online Open Records Request Form at irvingtx.justfoia.com. The City Secretary's Office asks you to check the Open Data Portal first.
