How to look up the permits on a Corona address

  1. Open eTRAKiT and log in as a Public user, or register if you have no account.
  2. Under Permits, choose Search; the Properties menu has its own Search Property option if you start from the address.
  3. Open each permit on the property. Solar, a re-roof, a water heater and a panel upgrade are each their own permit.
  4. Read the status and the inspection list to see whether the final passed.
  5. For every permit on a street at once, filter the CorStat Building Permits dataset by address and export it.

What the statuses mean

Status in the city file What it means How we count it
FINALED Final inspection passed Finished
C OF O Certificate of occupancy issued Finished
ISSUED, TEMP C OF O Work under way or not yet finaled Open
WITHDRAWN Never went ahead Left out

Of permits issued October 2024 to September 2025, 80.1% had finished by our 23 October 2026 snapshot and 19.9% were still open. Electrical (71.3% finished) and HVAC (71.0%) trail roofing (88.3%) and new homes (93.7%). If your solar or HVAC permit still reads ISSUED a year later, ask the installer to book the final.

When the record is not online

The city's Public Records Request page lists the Online Permit History Search under documents available online and asks you to check those first; otherwise submit a request through the link on that page (read 24 October 2026). Questions go to the City Clerk's office at 951-736-2201. Requests fall under the California Public Records Act.

What our Corona pages add

Our Corona page adds the city's permits up by kind of work:

Kind of work Permits (Oct 2024–Sep 2026) Finished (issued Oct 2024–Sep 2025) Usual days to final (issued Oct 2024–Sep 2025)
Solar 1,435 84.6% 63
Plumbing 1,252 81.2% 16
Electrical 907 71.3% 29
HVAC 700 71.0% 45
Roofing 686 88.3% 15
Fences and walls 474 78.7% 120
Remodels and repairs 447 81.4% 47
New homes 193 93.7% 194

82% of the 7,804 permits (October 2024 to September 2026) were for homes, and the usual permit that reached a final took 56 days (issued October 2024 to September 2025). Solar permits fell 40% in the last 12 months (October 2025 to September 2026) against the 12 months before. The permit statistics page has year and month counts, how long a permit takes has the ranges, and the ZIP code pages split the file by ZIP: 92882 alone had 2,635 permits in the two years. Smaller kinds of work are on the ADU, pool, addition and garage and shed pages. To check a contractor's CSLB license, see How to check a contractor's license in California.

What this does not tell you

The city's permit file names no contractor, so there are no firm lists for Corona. Most electrical, solar, HVAC and plumbing permits carry a $0 valuation, so costs are shown only where the city recorded one.

How we know this

The eTRAKiT links and login screen and the records-request route are from the City of Corona's Building Division, eTRAKiT and Public Records Request pages, read 24 October 2026. Our counts are CorStat's Building Permits dataset (2agx-camz), read 23 October 2026: permits issued October 2024 to September 2026, City of Corona only.

Numbers come from public permit records in 57 cities, data through October 23, 2026. Nobody paid to be on this page and nobody can.
